Do you 'Twitter'?

Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length which are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them (known as followers) ~Wikipedia

Pertama kali tau soal Twitter, tentu saja dari Fashionesedaily, with the magic words 'Follow us on Twitter' trus langsung dahi berkerut
"What the heck is 'Twitter'? Am I so not up to date not knowing about 'Twitter'?"

Anyway, clicking and googling after read those words, register, and not having any clue what the hell is it :P After a while, I knew what it was, and what is it for and afterall Twitter bakalan lebih menyenangkan kalau punya following dan followers dengan jumlah yang signifikan. Hehehehe......Actually, it just like Facebook status. (That's what I said to the people who asking me what is Twitter)

Awal² gue jarang banget pake yang aplikasi replies, toh yang diikutin blog² yang biasanya ngasi update isi blog mereka, kayak Fashionesedaily, Temptalia, dll, just like rss feed. I use Twitterfox application on my Firefox to see the updates. Quite interesting. Setidaknya bisa tau update blog :)

Today, I following 65 tweets and I have 40 tweets follow me and most of them are fellow FD-ers. Of course, same as me, because those magic words :)

Aplikasi Twitter yang gue pernah pake
- Tweetdeck
Aplikasi untuk Windows dan Macintosh, berupa dashboard yang terdiri atas kolom² berisi Timeline Friends, Get Replies, trus Facebook Status. Bisa di-synchronize dengan status Facebook kita. Karena aplikasi ini sifatnya real-time, so It's been my favourite Twitter Application. Cuman sayang, hanya bisa dipakai di PC or lappie.

Aplikasi untuk Blackberry. The latest one (cmiiw) 09 Beta 6 lebih baik dibanding yang 08. Kelebihannya bisa Re-Tweet, loading process-nya lebih cepat, tampilannya lebih mirip di web-nya. So far, cukup recommended. Hanya kalau mau meng-update status dengan disertai gambar harus kirim lewat email ke twitpic dengan nomer unik tertentu. Lumayanlah karena twitterberry pakai APN Blackberry, tidak seperti teman²nya Ubertwitter dan Tinytwitter. Sayang Yatca, yang bisa upload gambar langsung hanya khusus Blackberry dengan OS 4.6 ke atas

Aplikasi untuk Iphone. I guess with wifi this is the most ideal mobile Twitter Application. I wish I had one like this for my BlackBerry™
